Model boat kit
Boston Whitehall Tender
Kit by Midwest
The Whitehall was a narrow, fast rowing boat used in American harbors in the 1800s to carry people and goods between ships and shore. Ship chandlers, boarding house runners and harbor watermen used them in Boston and New York, and the type is usually said to take its name from Whitehall Street in Manhattan.
Midwest's kit (No. 978) is an all wood 1:14 model of a Boston Whitehall tender with illustrated instructions. The finished model is about 12 in long.
