Model boat kit
New Bedford Whale Boat
Kit by Bluejacket
The New Bedford whaleboat was the light, double ended boat carried by American whaleships and rowed or sailed after whales, typically about 28 feet long. A crew of six manned her, five at the oars and an officer at the long steering oar, with the harpooner pulling the bow oar until the strike.
Bluejacket's kit (KLW122) is a plank on frame model at 1/3 inch to the foot, about 10 inches long, revised with many laser cut wood parts. Bluejacket rates it at its Captain level.

Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
