Model boat kit
Bounty Boat
Kit by Occre
This is the launch in which William Bligh and the men loyal to him were set adrift after the mutiny on HMS Bounty in 1789. Bligh sailed the overloaded open boat some 3,600 nautical miles to Timor in about 47 days, one of the best known small boat voyages in naval history.
Occre's 1:24 kit has 462 parts and is rated at the beginner level. The model is 435 mm long and 260 mm high, and Occre estimates about 120 hours to build it.
What building a Bounty Boat actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
