HMS Alert 1777
Kit by Vanguard Models
Alert was a Royal Navy cutter built at Dover and launched in 1777, armed with twelve six pounders after a 1778 refit and captured by the French later that year.
The 1:64 kit has lime first planking and pear strip second planking over an MDF frame and 0.8 mm ply subdecks. Resin cannon and three sheets of photo-etched brass are included.
What building a HMS Alert 1777 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
