Model boat kit
Willie L. Bennett Chesapeake Bay Skipjack
Kit by Model Shipways
The Willie L. Bennett was a Chesapeake Bay skipjack, the oyster dredging sailboat of the bay, built at Inverness, Maryland in 1899. Howard Chapelle recorded her lines in 1942, and she was later found sunk in Harris Creek off Tilghman Island.
The 1:32 kit is built plank on bulkhead like the real boats, using laser-cut molds, keelson and transom and basswood throughout.
