Model boat kit
HM Brig Badger
Kit by Caldercraft
Badger was a small Royal Navy brig of the American War of Independence and was Horatio Nelson's first official command in 1778 and 1779. Nelson was twenty when he took her over, and she was employed protecting British settlements on the Mosquito Shore and in the Bay of Honduras from American privateers.
The kit is 1:64 scale with a double plank on bulkhead hull planked in lime and walnut, Tanganyika strip decking and walnut fittings. The finished model is 600 mm long.
What building a HM Brig Badger actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
