A 13 ft catamaran designed by Morrelli, Melvin & Hobie Design Team, built from 1994. She carries 7 ft beam, 1 ft 9 in draft and 245 lb displacement.
A rotomolded plastic beach cat, almost indestructible and the standard boat at resorts and sailing schools. Hobie Cat grew out of Hobie Alter's surfboard shop in California and put beach catamaran sailing within reach of anyone with a car and a stretch of sand.
