A 16 ft 7 in fractional sloop designed by Hobie Cat, built from 2001. She carries 7 ft 8 in beam, 10 in draft and 390 lb displacement. Hull form is catamaran (no daggerboards and asymmetric hulls).
A bigger, more stable beach cat built to carry a family rather than to race. Hobie Cat grew out of Hobie Alter's surfboard shop in California and put beach catamaran sailing within reach of anyone with a car and a stretch of sand.
