Bartender 26 Cruising
Designed by George Calkins
A wider, deeper and roomier take on the 26 ft Bartender, drawn for people who want to stay aboard rather than fish from the cockpit. Compared with the Sport Fishing model it has more freeboard and a taller, longer cabin, which buys a larger head, a bigger galley and full standing headroom, and the extra hull volume allows larger fuel tanks for cruising in remote country.
The published figures are 26 ft 3 in overall, 21 ft 9 in on the waterline, an 8 ft 6 in beam, 25 in of draft and a displacement of 4,250 lb, so she is still a boat that can go on a trailer. Building is the same plywood over lumber frames used throughout the line, and the set is offered as plans only, which means lofting from the drawings.
What building a Bartender 26 Cruising actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
