Fred Murphy

Designed by Glen-L Marine

A 26 ft tugboat from Glen-L Marine with a 29 ft option on the same plans, a deep-draft displacement hull that Glen-L says is capable of serious cruising or work. Conceived by Al Sorenson and detailed for amateurs by Ken Hankinson; sheet plywood over wood framing, welded aluminum or steel. Two 6 ft 6 in berths forward, hanging lockers, a deckhouse to fit out as you like. About 8,350 lb.

A large displacement hull and a house on top. Budget 2,000 to 3,500 hours in plywood. Measured medians from logged builds are below.
