Scud
Designed by Bartender Boats
A 12 ft Norwegian-style double-ender under sail, one of a handful of small traditional craft sold alongside the Bartender powerboat plans. The published particulars are a 12 ft length, 4 ft 8 in beam, 10 in draft, 225 lb displacement and 79 sq ft of sail.
This is a study-level set rather than a full building package: it consists of a lines drawing without offsets, a hull profile and the sail plan. A builder would need to take the shape off the lines and work out the construction for themselves, so it suits someone with a few boats behind them who wants a pretty, pointed-stern daysailer and enjoys the lofting.
What building a Scud actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
