A 14 ft 6 in pocket cruiser by Jacques Mertens of Bateau, meant for coastal cruising, with a small cabin offering sitting headroom and room to sleep aboard. She carries 250 lb of ballast split between a lockable centerboard keel and the bilge, and the designer quotes positive stability to 135 degrees. Trailer weight is about 565 lb and sail area 114 sq ft.
Panels are stitched together right side up in a simple basket mold, then sheathed in glass and epoxy; foam sandwich is also specified. The designer suggests building a small boat first.
