A 15 ft 8 in touring kayak by Graham Byrnes of B&B Yacht Designs, 23 1/2 in wide and 35 to 40 lb, shaped with a Greenland flavor to carry one adult and gear on longer trips and to cope with some rough water. It tracks well while still turning readily, and the stern is drawn to accept an optional rudder. Plans are sold by B&B.
The plywood hull is folded into its curved ends and the seams are then taped, and B&B notes that folding the hull takes about an hour. The firm recommends its kayaks as first projects. Budget 80 to 140 hours as a rule of thumb. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
