Flyfisher 13 Canoe

A 13 ft solo canoe from Graham Byrnes of B&B Yacht Designs, a stretched Moccasin 12 made slightly wider at the chine so that an angler can sit and cast without the boat feeling tender. The bow is shaped to stay quiet in a chop. It is meant for lakes, rivers, bays and sheltered coastal water, and B&B is clear that it is not a whitewater boat. It uses the same number of plywood sheets as the Moccasin 12.
Construction is stitch and glue, with B&B's butterfly fold forming the ends. The designer calls it an ideal first project with simple woodwork, a short build and low cost. Budget 60 to 110 hours as a rule of thumb. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
