Pantanal 25

Designed by Roberto Barros

The Pantanal 25 is a 7.65 m trailer sailer with a lifting keel, intended for lakes, reservoirs, rivers and the coast, and described by B&G as the ideal camping boat. Keel up she draws 0.63 m, so she can be launched from a ramp and kept on a trailer; keel down she draws 1.63 m, and her 2.44 m beam and 1,300 kg light displacement suit road transport.

The hull is built from fibreglass sandwich strips laid over the forms, which avoids having to make a one off mould, and the design is also offered for wood and epoxy. She carries a fractional sloop rig with a 21.75 square metre main, a genoa and a gennaker, takes a 9 to 15 hp outboard and has up to 1.7 m of standing headroom.
