Ensenada 25
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 25 ft 3 in trailerable performance cruising sloop from Glen-L Marine whose rounded plywood hull hides its hard-chine origins. A stressed-skin hull over a few bulkheads and stringers with no conventional frames, stiff and light, and a proven racer: second in PHRF G in its first Newport to Ensenada race against fifty boats.
Sheet plywood keeps a 25-footer's cost and difficulty down, but there is a full interior and rig. Budget 1,000 to 1,800 hours over two to four years. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Ensenada 25 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
