12' Garvey Jolle
Designed by Boatkits
A 3.76 m garvey for fishing, diving and general outdoor use, sold as a CNC-cut stitch-and-glue plywood kit by Boatkits (Boatplans ApS, Denmark). Beam is 1.28 m, weight about 58 kg, and it carries up to four. It travels on a roof rack or trailer. The data table rates it for 5 to 15 hp outboards, and the page suggests a 10 hp motor for anyone who wants some speed.
Boatkits presents it as easy enough to build as a family project with children helping. Boatkits gives 50 to 60 hours for hull and structure only and puts fairing, paint and outfitting at 1 to 1.5 times that again. A rough budget is 100 to 150 hours. Real hours from logged builds are below.
