A 3.91 m open Canadian canoe, the smallest of a three-boat series (13, 15 and 17 ft) sold as CNC-cut stitch-and-glue kits by Boatkits, part of Denmark's Boatplans ApS. A relatively wide 0.88 m beam makes it as stable as its larger sisters, and at about 19 kg it is light to carry. It takes two adults and their luggage on short trips or longer tours.
No previous knowledge is needed according to Boatkits, and the whole family can help. Boatkits quotes 35 to 45 hours for hull and structure and says finishing adds 1 to 1.5 times that again, so budget roughly 70 to 110 hours. Logged build times from this site follow below.
