14' Paddle Board

A 4.27 m plywood paddle board sold as a CNC-cut stitch-and-glue kit by Boatkits (Boatplans ApS, Denmark). It was drawn in response to requests for a very stable hull with the safety of a sit-on-top kayak. The bottom is flat, the beam 0.81 m, the weight about 22 kg. It can be paddled kneeling, standing or poled. Recommended maximum load is 158 kg. The flat deck invites rod holders, seats or hatches, and the instructions cover adding handles.
A simple closed box shape that suits a first build. The kit house's figure is 30 to 40 hours to the bare hull, with finishing put at 1 to 1.5 times as much on top. Budget roughly 60 to 100 hours. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
