15' Jolle
Designed by Boatkits
A 4.56 m long, narrow dinghy sold as a CNC-cut stitch-and-glue kit by Boatkits (Boatplans ApS, Denmark), meant for people who like speed without buying a big motor. It runs well on a 2.5 hp outboard, draws very little even loaded, and can plane when lightly laden. Beam is 1.11 m, weight about 40 kg, crew up to three, and the table rates it for 2 to 5 hp. An 18 ft version was developed from it.
A slim, simple hull that should not trouble a first-time builder. The kit house's figure is 40 to 50 hours to the bare hull, with finishing put at 1 to 1.5 times as much on top. Budget roughly 80 to 125 hours. Logged build times from this site follow below.
