Linach 15

A 15 ft two-part nesting dinghy from Devlin Designing Boat Builders for rowing, sailing under a lug rig and fishing. It was designed with a Utah client who wanted the largest dinghy that would travel inside an SUV, minivan or pickup, so each half is just under 8 ft long. It carries two adults and two children, has large buoyancy tanks, and was featured in WoodenBoat magazine in May/June 2022.
Devlin notes this is its first plan that is not stitch and glue: plywood goes over a stringer and bulkhead framework, finished with epoxy and glass tape. The plans include a 245-page building guide. As a rule of thumb, budget 200 to 350 hours. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
