Roberts 19
Designed by Bruce Roberts-Goodson
A trailerable mini cruiser of 19 ft 3 in, with a 7 ft 1 in beam and a choice of centreboard or fixed keel. With the board up she draws only about 10 in, 3 ft 7 in with it down, and displaces about 1,850 lb including 350 lb of ballast. The interior can be laid out to suit. Bruce Roberts counts several hundred in service, and one built in Canada was sailed all the way to Australia.
She is built in wood and epoxy by the molded plywood method, from a complete set of plans with full size patterns. Plans for a trailer to carry her are part of the package, along with the designer's detail folio on making fittings, materials lists, building photos and drawings for the electrics and plumbing.
What building a Roberts 19 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
