Waverunner 24
Designed by Bruce Roberts-Goodson
The Waverunner 24 is where Bruce Roberts began: his first design, drawn in 1968, with several built at his Marine Park yard in Brisbane. Hundreds have been built around the world since. She is a plywood planing hull of 24 ft 3 in with a 9 ft 5 in beam, about 3,800 lb on the trailer, set up as a small family cruiser or utility boat.
One builder reports cruising at 25 knots on a single 100 hp diesel. The plans and full size frame patterns are for plywood construction, and the listing notes that the boat could also be built at 26 or 28 ft. A steel or aluminium sister, the Waverunner 25, is drawn separately as a semi-displacement hull for metal.
What building a Waverunner 24 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
