Surf Scoter 22
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 22 ft 9 in trailerable outboard pilothouse cruiser by Sam Devlin, a redesign of a boat his shop first built more than 20 years earlier. This is the Cruiser version, whose house is a foot and a half longer than the Pilothouse version's, which buys an enclosed head and a larger galley. Beam is 8 ft 1.5 in, draft 18 in, displacement 3,940 lb, and a 90 hp four-stroke gives 26 mph flat out and an 18 mph cruise at under 4 gallons an hour.
Plans are drawn for both professional and home builders, in imperial or metric, and a CNC cut kit is offered. As a rule of thumb, expect 1,000 to 1,800 hours. Real hours from logged builds are below.

Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
