A 10.5 m (34 ft 5 in) radius chine plywood cruiser racer by Dudley Dix, a smaller and more cruising-minded sister to his Didi 38 and in many ways an update of his CW 975. It displaces 4,300 kg, sets 536 sq ft, and offers deep or shallow keels at 1.9 m or 1.5 m. The engine sits amidships for access and weight distribution, with separated sleeping cabins and an aft heads.
The method gives a round bilge hull from sheet plywood and was developed for amateur builders, with kits for hull, deck and bulkheads on offer. Expect 4,000 to 5,500 hours as a rule of thumb. Real hours from logged builds are below.
