Lion 1050
Designed by Unik Yachts
The largest Lion design, a 10.5 m sailing yacht with a 4 m beam, a 10.25 m waterline, a 2.1 m keel draft and 75 square metres of sail. Unik Yachts presents it briefly, as a modern looking boat with a roomy saloon that aims to combine simplicity with function, and so far it has published little more than those main dimensions.
What can be said is what the series stands for. Every Lion is drawn around marine plywood parts cut to final size on a CNC machine, so the hull assembles from a kit rather than being lofted and cut by the builder. The company offers its boats as a cut kit, as a bare hull for owner completion, or finished, and a builder interested in this one should expect to ask the company directly for the details.
What building a Lion 1050 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
