Lynnhaven 16 Touring Canoe
Designed by Dudley Dix
A 15 ft 5 in (4.7 m) stitch and glue plywood touring canoe by Dudley Dix for one to three people. It is paddled as a canoe or fitted with rowlocks as a small pulling boat, and the seats form buoyancy and storage compartments. The whole boat comes out of three sheets of plywood, weighing 32 kg in 6 mm or about 20 kg in 3 mm. Pre-cut plywood kits are available.
The designer recommends it as a first boatbuilding project and a school or family build. Plans include nested full size patterns and step-by-step instructions with more than 40 photos. He built the prototype single-handed in under 100 hours of evenings and weekends, which is the designer's figure. Measured medians from build logs appear below.

Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
