A 35 ft steel ocean cruiser from Glen-L Marine in ketch or cutter rig, multi-chine with a long keel, internal concrete-and-steel ballast, a forward utility room with head and shower, workbench and sail bin, and the engine amidships under the cabin sole. Berths for five. Glen-L publish a beam of 12 ft 0 in and a draft of 5 ft 0 in.
Sail area is Main - 333 sq ft. Displacement is 20,200 lb. Headroom below is 6'-2" to 6'-4". The hull is a multi-chine sheet steel with full length internal ballast keel. Ballast: Concrete and scrap steel. Steel construction needs welding skill or a welded hull bought in, then a big interior in wood. Budget 3,500 to 5,500 hours.
