A 27 ft trailerable deep-vee cruiser from Glen-L Marine for the watersports enthusiast: a 7.5 by 9 ft self-draining cockpit with the engine below it, a flying bridge for three or four with a sun lounge, berths for four or five and big fuel capacity, all without a wide-load permit. Sheet plywood with an 18 degree deep vee, bulbous keel and lift strakes; stern-mounted I/O or vee drive. Glen-L publish a beam of 7 ft 10 in and a hull depth of 4 ft 6 in.
The bare hull comes out at about 1300 lb. Displacement is 6015 lb. Headroom below is 6' max. The hull is a full length deep vee with 18o min. deadrise, bulbous keel section, and lift strakes. Hard chine, developed for sheet plywood planking. For power they specify stern mounted inboard motor connected to an outdrive or vee drive. They draw a matching trailer for her. Sheet plywood keeps a 27-footer buildable, but it is a full cruiser. Budget 1,500 to 2,500 hours. Real hours from logged builds show below.
