Phantom
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 27 ft trailerable deep-vee cruiser from Glen-L Marine with the look of a 40-footer: flying bridge and lower helm, enclosed head with shower, dinette for four, galley and berths for four or five, on a sheet plywood hull with an 18 degree deadrise, bulbous keel and lift strakes. Stern-mounted I/O or vee-drive inboard, about 1,300 lb of hull.
Sheet plywood keeps it buildable, but there is a full interior and a stern drive to fit. Budget 1,500 to 2,500 hours over two to five years. Real hours from logged builds show below.
What building a Phantom actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
