A 27 ft trailerable deep-vee express cruiser from Glen-L Marine, the same full-length 18 degree deep-vee sheet plywood hull as the Phantom with a radar bar, flying bridge helm and flush self-draining cockpit over a stern-mounted I/O or vee-drive engine. Berths for four or five. Glen-L publish a beam of 7 ft 10 in and a hull depth of 4 ft 6 in.
The bare hull comes out at about 1300 lb. Displacement is 6015 lb. Headroom below is 6' to 6'-3". The hull is a full length deep vee with 18o min. deadrise, bulbous keel section, and lift strakes. Hard chine, developed for sheet plywood planking. For power they specify stern mounted inboard motor connected to an outdrive or v-drive. They draw a matching trailer for her. The plans, frame kit and full-size patterns are written for amateurs, and the sheet plywood hull is cheap and light. Budget 1,500 to 2,500 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
