Crackerbox
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 15 ft rear-cockpit inboard speedster from Glen-L Marine that looks like a hot rod and has run over 70 mph in competition with a small-block Chevy, yet tows a skier and cruises the main drag. Vee-bottomed sheet plywood, about 500 lb, mid-mounted straight-shaft inboard.
A proven design that can be built on a budget, with Glen-L supplying conversion components. Budget 350 to 600 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Crackerbox actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
