Desperado

Designed by Glen-L Marine

An 18 or 19 ft high-performance ski runabout from Glen-L Marine with a beamy deep-vee hull that actually rides well, a 24 degree bow blending to 15 at the transom, integral lift strakes and a cockpit you lay out to suit. Half-inch bottom and three-eighths sides in sheet plywood over five sawn frames and stringers that double as the building jig, glass-sheathed; I/O or one or two outboards.

Quick, light, low cost and suitable even for first-timers, Glen-L says. Budget 400 to 700 hours. Real hours from logged builds show below.
