Flats Flyer

Designed by Glen-L Marine

An 18 ft 6 in Florida flats boat from Glen-L Marine that weighs hundreds of pounds less than a fiberglass equivalent, so it draws less, poles easier and runs faster on less power: a 75 hp motor puts it in the 40s. A 25 degree bow entry flattening to a 5 degree transom, no lift strakes to make noise; sheet plywood planking.

A conventional plywood build for a builder who wants the boat set up their way. Budget 400 to 700 hours. Real hours from logged builds show below.
