Glen-L 14

Designed by Glen-L Marine

A 14 ft plywood family sloop from Glen-L Marine with a 6 ft beam for stability and room, a low centerboard trunk that makes tacking easy, and 118 sq ft of sail that lets it keep up with the fleet. Quarter-inch plywood on a vee-bottomed hard-chine hull, about 325 lb.

Glen-L rates it easy even for a novice, with complete instructions and full-size patterns. Allow 180 to 300 hours plus rigging. Hardware, rigging, fastening and fiberglass kits are available. The medians below are from builders who logged theirs here.
