A 26 ft 11 in St. Pierre dory from Glen-L Marine for power or sail, wider on the bottom than the traditional type so it can carry a real sloop rig on a fixed fin keel; one built the Anchorage to Seattle round trip on its own bottom. Plywood over wood framing; outboard tiller steering, and a well-mounted kick-up outboard, inline inboard or haul-up shaft on the power version.
Rugged, seaworthy and, as Glen-L says, easy and cheap to build for its size. Budget 800 to 1,400 hours. Real hours from logged builds show below.
