An 18 ft 3 in Pacific power fishing dory from Glen-L Marine, the smallest of its powered dories, surf-launchable thanks to the raised bow and broad flare, with a wide-open flat-bottomed hull to fit out as you like and a well-mounted outboard that kicks up inside the boat. Sheet plywood with rub strakes, about 700 lb. Glen-L publish a beam of 7 ft 6 in and a hull depth of 3 ft 11 in.
The hull is a flat bottom dory-type aft. Developed for sheet plywood planking with outer rub strakes. For power they specify single well-mounted or transom mounted outboard standard. They draw a matching trailer for her. Dory construction is about the simplest way to an 18 ft powerboat. Budget 300 to 550 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
