Little Hunk
Designed by Glen-L Marine
An 18 ft 3 in Pacific power fishing dory from Glen-L Marine, the smallest of its powered dories, surf-launchable thanks to the raised bow and broad flare, with a wide-open flat-bottomed hull to fit out as you like and a well-mounted outboard that kicks up inside the boat. Sheet plywood with rub strakes, about 700 lb.
Dory construction is about the simplest way to an 18 ft powerboat. Budget 300 to 550 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Little Hunk actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
