18' Seecruiser
Designed by Boatkits
A 5.59 m outboard cabin cruiser, the larger sister of the 16 ft Seecruiser, sold as a CNC-cut plywood kit by Boatkits (Boatplans ApS, Denmark). Strong longitudinal stringers and frames stiffen the hull for open water. The cockpit has lengthwise seats, and the kit normally comes with a forward cabin; a wheelhouse version costs a small surcharge. Beam is 2.00 m, weight about 210 kg, crew up to six, power 15 to 60 hp.
A substantial project with cabin joinery, best taken on with some experience. The kit house's figure is 130 to 140 hours to the bare hull, with finishing put at 1 to 1.5 times as much on top. Budget roughly 260 to 350 hours. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
