River Rat

A 20 ft 2 in jet sled from Glen-L Marine with a modified garvey underbody, 12 degree deadrise and built-in chine flats that keep it dry. Separate plans for glassed sheet plywood or welded aluminum, jet pump or outboard power, an optional keel shoe for the pump, and open center-console or windshield versions; the hull can be lengthened or shortened about 10 percent. Glen-L publish a beam of 8 ft 0 in and a hull depth of 3 ft 3 in.
The bare hull comes out at about 1100 lb. They put the usual load at 2 to 4 people. Displacement is 3040 lb. The hull is a modified sled garvey with 12o deadrise. Developed for sheet plywood or aluminum planking with built-in chine flat spray rail. For power they specify single or twin long shaft outboard motors; 50 hp minimum, 100 hp will suffice for general use, with higher hp optional. They draw a matching trailer for her. A straightforward plywood build with a rugged result. Budget 400 to 700 hours. Real hours from logged builds show below.
