Bullfrog 20
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 20 ft 3 in outboard fishing cruiser concept by Sam Devlin, beamy at 8 ft 5 in and about 3,600 lb, drawn for a 90 to 115 hp outboard. Devlin has in mind running out over a coastal bar for a day's fishing, pottering about, or a quick trip up into Canada or Southeast Alaska.
Only study plans exist, and Devlin asks interested builders to talk to him about developing full construction plans. Devlin designs are normally stitch and glue, and a 20 ft powerboat of this weight suits someone with a smaller build behind them. As a rule of thumb, allow 1,000 to 1,500 hours. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
What building a Bullfrog 20 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
