Torpedo

A 19 ft 3 in classic inboard runabout from Glen-L Marine whose decking and aft superstructure sweep back to a point, hence the name, in the manner of the deluxe runabouts of the past. Fiberglass-covered cold-molded construction with a convex vee bottom, a sawn harpin to ease the sharp forward sheer bend, and an optional second cockpit; inline inboard to about 350 cu in. Glen-L publish a beam of 7 ft 1 in and a hull depth of 39 in.

The bare hull comes out at about 1050 lb. They put the usual load at 3 to 4 people. She floats on a waterline of 17 ft 6 in. Displacement is 2558 lb. The hull is a fiberglass covered cold-molded construction. Convex vee bottom with concavity along the chine and generous flaring sides forward blending into a "torpedo" style stern. They draw a matching trailer for her. Full-size frame patterns drawn as the frames will look finished simplify the job, but it is still cold molding and bright finishing. Budget 1,000 to 1,800 hours.
