V-Dory
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 22 ft 10 in Pacific-style power fishing dory from Glen-L Marine with a vee added to the forward bottom for a smoother ride in a chop, the flat dory run aft and raised forefoot retained, and a wider beam. It carries 3,250 lb on 7 in of draft. Sheet plywood with the forward vee in two easy-bending layers; well-mounted outboard standard, with transom outboards, I/O, jet or inboard detailed.
Dory construction from standard sheets is fast and forgiving. Budget 500 to 900 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a V-Dory actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
