Variant
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 29 ft flying-bridge sedan cruiser from Glen-L Marine with a modified deep-vee planing hull, double-diagonal plywood bottom and sheet plywood sides. It sleeps six, offers a sheltered cockpit or an open sportfishing one on the same plans, and takes an I/O or vee-drive inboard under the flush cockpit.
Large but conventional Glen-L construction with full-size frame patterns. Budget 2,000 to 3,500 hours over three to six years. Real hours from logged builds are below.
What building a Variant actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
