Spirited 320
Designed by Spirited Designs
The Spirited 320 is a 10.1 m sports cruiser catamaran with raked bows, twin helms and a composite prodder that forms a catwalk to the forebeam and carries the code zero and spinnaker. The designer's aim was a boat that sails responsively enough for club racing but carries twin inboard diesels, forward facing saloon windows and enough room inside for long stays or living aboard.
Construction follows the SAS system used on the 380 and 480: the hull bottoms are built over temporary frames, set in cradles, and the bulkheads fitted. Unlike the bigger boats, everything above the bottoms is flat panel, which makes the rest of the shell quicker. DuFLEX precut panels are the top kit; plain foam is cheaper but every part must be laminated first. The build estimate is about 4,000 hours.
What building a Spirited 320 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
