A 7.65 m (25 ft) open-deck trailable catamaran from Richard Woods of Woods Designs, pitched between his Strider and the racier Gwahir. Round-bilge strip cedar hulls with plywood decks, or foam sandwich or double diagonal plywood. Beam 4.6 m, about 650 kg empty, 30.75 sq m of sail, a bunk in each corner and an optional removable cuddy. Woods cruised his own for five summers in British Columbia, and a Dutch boat has twice been the fastest multihull in Holland.
Round-bilge hulls ask for more patience than flat panels but are well within amateur reach. Going by Woods's minimum times for the neighbouring designs, budget 800 to 1,300 hours as a rule of thumb. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
