A 5.5 m trimaran by Richard Woods of Woods Designs that uses a 16 ft beach catamaran for its outriggers and rig, or home-built Quattro 16 hulls where no donor can be found. The dory-shaped sheet plywood main hull seats six in a deep, dry cockpit behind a windscreen and sleeps two under a boom tent. Beam 4.3 m, about 250 kg empty, with outriggers that fold for trailing. The prototype was launched in Canada in 2009.
Woods drew it for people new to boatbuilding and multihulls who want a quick project. He reports about 150 hours to finish his own main hull ready for final paint, so a first-timer might budget 200 to 350 including the beams. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
