Model boat kit
Rattlesnake American Privateer
Kit by Model Shipways
Rattlesnake was a ship-rigged American privateer of the Revolutionary War, armed with twenty guns and built for speed.
The 1:64 kit is plank on bulkhead with laser-cut basswood parts, wooden hull and deck planking, and a three-masted square rig. Hull and rigging plans are by George F. Campbell, and Ben Lankford prepared the construction plans and manual.
What building a Rattlesnake American Privateer actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
