Model boat kit
Royal Yacht Duchess of Kingston 1778
Kit by Vanguard Models
This ornate private yacht was built in the late 1770s for Elizabeth Chudleigh, Duchess of Kingston.
The 1:64 kit has all parts from deck level up pre-cut, so only the lower hull is planked, in lime first and pear second. Decks are laser-etched maple, with pear gratings, resin cannon and walnut dowel spars.
