Scud II
Designed by Bartender Boats
The 16 ft version of the Scud, a Norwegian-type double-ended sailing boat offered on the same shelf as the Bartender plans. She measures 16 ft overall and 14 ft 9.5 in on the waterline, with a 5 ft beam, 10 in draft and 111 sq ft of sail, which makes her a longer and more seaworthy proposition than the 12 ft Scud for two or three people.
Unlike the smaller boat, this set does include a table of offsets along with the lines, hull profile and sail plan, so the hull shape can be lofted directly. Construction details are not part of the package, which leaves the scantlings and building method to the builder's judgement.
What building a Scud II actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
