Harbor Master Displacement 19

An 18 ft 5 in displacement-speed pilothouse cruiser by Jacques Mertens, sold by Bateau / Boat Builder Central as the HMD19. It is a development of the Harbor Master 19 that swaps the planing dory bottom for a true displacement hull while keeping the high bow and classic sheer. The hull alone weighs about 1,055 lb, displacement is 2,400 lb, and 10 to 15 hp is all it asks for.

Construction is stitch and glue engineered as a plywood-cored glass and epoxy composite, with no wood framing and tolerant of small cutting errors. The designer quotes roughly 50 hours for the hull and 250 hours or more for the finished boat, depending on detail. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
